Peter Garry is a partner at South-East law firm Cripps Harries Hall LLP. He is head of its Partnerships and Professional Practices (“PPP”) Group, and a member of its Commercial Dispute Resolution team.
He acts for professional firms, LLPs or individual partners or members in Court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations and settlement negotiations, advising them and assisting them to resolve disputes arising out of retirement from or dissolution/winding-up of professional practices, fraud or other unlawful conduct within partnerships, and/or disputed accounts or disputed property rights. He also acts for banks and others who have dealings with partnerships, and advises on insolvency issues. In addition he participates in the wider practice of Cripps’ PPP Group, including sales, purchases, mergers and demergers of professional practices, LLP conversion, partnership and LLP agreements, and advice on age discrimination.
Peter wrote the Partnership and Professional Practice Disputes chapter in Sweet & Maxwell’s book, “ADR and Commercial Disputes”, published in 2001, and is a regular contributor of partnership law articles to the Law Society’s Gazette, and other professional publications.
He is a CEDR accredited mediator.
